Birthday Parties

20-30 min Magic Show then Balloons for the kids (1 Hour / 20 Kids or Less)

Flower Clown parties start off with a magic show for the children. Where I perform many tricks, using the children as my helpers. Flower Clown's sense of humor can be a little odd at times. It is not uncommon for him to sing little jingles or make references to old TV shows (Things only the adults will understand and get a kick out of) The last trick I usually do is making small toys appear and tossing them to the children. While they are picking up the toys, I start twisting balloons. I make the birthday boy's or girl's balloon first, since it is the largest balloon at the party, and may take six or more balloons to make. While I am doing this, I will have the kids try and guess what I am making. Usually, before it is all put together, one of the kids will shout out what the balloon in question is. Then, I make balloons for each of the other children. Depending on the number in attendance, I will adjust the length of the magic show to fill the time allotted and the size of the balloons. Some unicycling is available, depending on location, time allotted, and size of party.

I have become very fast at twisting balloons and am equally adept at keeping the attention of a group, even if the line is very long. I usually keep onlookers entertained with jokes, funny faces, stories and one-liners while I keep busy making the balloon sculptures. I never sit still -- I am always moving, in an effort to keep my audience entertained. I may twist the balloons behind my back or hold them over my head as I twist my creations. Sometimes, I resort to "Kung-Fu" balloon twisting, in which I do karate moves and make lively sound effects while working on the sculptures. Overall, my performance is designed to be entertaining and engaging. Some unicycling may be available upon request, depending on the location -- ask for details

Flower Entertainment

Flower clown over the years have made many friends and have seen many other entertainers such as magicians, mimes, stilt walkers, jugglers, face painters, bounce houses, rock walls, food services and decorators. When I do see someone with talent I get a business card and call them. I have put there photos and information on this web page under clown friends.  If you are or know someone who is a good entertainer give me a call.

2 new shows for Day Care, BDP's and Summer Camp Programs

"Getting Ready"
For the younger kids Flower comes in without makeup and in street clothes then sits down with the children and tells them who he is and what he does. During this time he puts his make-up on and transforms into Flower Clown. This time is also used as a question and answer session. After Flower is finished getting ready he makes balloon animals for all the kids (max 25).

              "A Twisted Balloon Class"

is for the older kids Flower comes in and teaches a "Twisted Balloon Class". He comes in with pre-inflated balloons (saves a lot of time)  and starts with the basics of balloon twisting. First the children will learn how to make a balloon dog on a leash. Next the kids may choose from a list of simple balloon figures. Last are "Basic Hats Gone Wild". Flower teaches the kids how to make a balloon hat then turns the kids loose with extra balloons and pumps. In 10-15 min the kids make the biggest and craziest hats they can come up with. Flower asks the staff to judge the hats and gives out prizes for the winners. (Max 20-30 with help from camp staff)

Dear Ronnie aka Flower Clown,

It was wonderful to have you be part of our "Circus Unit". We are learning about circus acts, food, and the animals found at the circus. Clowns are a major part of our unit and to have one visit our class was a great treat!

Thank you for taking time out of your schedule to spend time with us. Some of our children were afraid of clowns, but not anymore thanks to you. Watching you put on your make-up was a rare treat, one that helps the children learn not to be afraid.

As always you were truly fantastic! The kids loved you and had such a wonderful time with you. You provided a learning experience that was fun and one that they will not forget. Many of our children miss out on our everyday experiences because it is hard for their parents to transport due to wheelchairs and behaviors. You provided them with a memory of one they would not normally have.

Thank you for taking the time to make balloons for each child and to spend time with each one. They all loved it and talked about you for days. In fact we watched an Emit Kelly circus tape, they all said "There's Flower!". You were truly a hit with them.

Again, I thank you! We are blessed to have you as our friend and to have you visit us. You are truly a very special friend to special children.

My Sincere Regards,

Paula Garbo,
