We are back in Bangkok!!!
Well after working in Dubai which had its ups
and downs we are now in Bangkok! Pradeep
your friend from Nepal took his first flight to
China to start his own import business. He had to
fly through Bangkok. It just so happened that we
were in Dubai and could get a cheep flight from
Dubai to Bangkok so we hooked up here. Then there
is Bumm our clown friend who lives in Bangkok. The
past day and the next few are going to be filled
with shopping, sightseeing and a lot of happy
times. Yesterday we did the weekend market and
visited Uncle Monk then went to our favorite
outdoor bar. Today it is off to the computer
market, clothing market, uncle monk and to see a
live band. We still have to visit the royal palace
and china market. So much to do in such a short
time. Who needs sleep, that is what a 20 hour
flight is for.
Well, were off again..... Ronnie and Stacy.
I am trying to upload photos but its not
working. I will try again. |

Just a few more days.....
Today started public schools. I was asked to do
a show at a local girls school for opening day.
There was about 300 girls there. They did a short
music program and then I did a half hour balloon
and magic show. Then it was back to the office
where I made balloons for about another hour and a
half for the staff. At that point we returned back
to the hotel and took a nap. the mall shows are
going well and I did meet a man from Calf. who is
doing bubble shows here www.bubblesmith.com a
very nice man who is also staying at the same
hotel. Friday is our last day here and of the
Dubai Summer surprise. It is also the first day of
there weekend (fri-sat) Sunday starts the work
week. So Friday we will be very busy. Saturday at
5:30am we will fly to Bangkok to see Bumm and
Pradeepman. What a fun time that will be.
Take care, see you all back in Cleveland!

Super Dubai
Current mood:
enthralled
Here
we are almost one week and we still have not seen
much of the touristy things. We did get out
yesterday with friends from home who are living
and working here. What we did see was one
HUGE construction zone. There is so much
building going on here it is unbelievable!
What has been constructed is way beyond
extravagant and grand. We went to the sea
and stuck our toes in but did not swim because it
is about 106 in and out of the water. Ouch!!
We did take a dip in the rooftop pool at our
freinds flat. Too cool to be swimming at 35
floors up!
Internet time is rather
pricey here. As is a lot of things. The
mall we are working at is brand spanking new and
many stores are still not opened. Many
people have shown interest in Flower and hiring
him in Kuwait and here in October for a Coldstone
Creamery Grand opening. Insha allah it will
all pan out!
We are working 4
hours a night from 5:30-9:30. The entire
time we have to teach people how to make
balloon flowers and Flower is doing 2 10 minute
magic shows on stage. We have a lot of the
same kids with their parents coming to
spend time with us making balloons and just
enjoying Flower's antics. We also made 4
HUGE balloon flower baskets for the main stage.
There are lots of
entertainers from all over the world here.
So we have made many new friends and contacts.
The government foots the bill for the entire 2
month long festival and the entertainment agencies
take care to hire the talent. Some people
have told us that it is best to get your profile
and info to all the agents here if you hope to be
asked back, so we are networking our butts off.
This is quite an awesome experience!
Well we have
limited internet time. More to come.
All our best!
Love and Peace~ Stacy and Ronnie aka Flower

Dubai is HOT!!
Current mood:
happy
Well Dubai sure is a superlative!
Everything is so extravagant and big! Ronnie
started his run of shows last night. He did
one 30 minute magic show and the remainder of his
time did was he does best...making balloons for
huge amounts of people. While he made the
great balloon creations I was teaching kids and
adults how to make balloon flowers. The
theme is Flower Surprises, so we fit properly.
However, the event organizer would much prefer him
to be teaching balloons instead of just making
them for the kids. Most of the kids did not
want to make their own balloon, so what to do.
He did what he enjoys most, those balloons that
children the happiest. Pissin off the powers
that be....but the kids should be happy first and
foremost! Differing views on happiness
perhaps!
He has several requests to do birthday
parties, grand openings and even a school show
in Kuwait. We'll see what comes of it!
If people are willing to pay for him then why
not?! We have made friends with many
different entertainers from all over the world who
were also brought in for the festival. We
did hear that the same entertainers are rarely
brought back more than once. But who
knows...we love to return next year and do
this again.
We have not ventured much further than
the AC comforts of our hotel and mall. But
with some friends here we may finally get out and
see some things...maybe more AC malls. As
this is the hottest time of the year here there is
not much more to do. You step outside and
instantly your body starts condensating. It
is miserably hot!! Way more humidity then is
necessary thanks to the ocean. But we are
thankful everyday for AC.
More news to follow later. Hello
and best wishes to all.
Regards~

WOW...Dubai
Current mood:
tired
We have arrived in Dubai to
100 degree temps, sand and luxury. We flew
Emirates Air from JFK to Dubai and it was a great
trip. Everyone seems very nice and
gracious. Ronnie starts working on Thursday so
tomorrow we will have to blow up LOTS of balloons
for his stage backdrop. We are very
tired now and just wanted to drop a quick note.
We will send more news in a couple days.
Love and Peace!

Going to Dubai
Hope this finds everyone
well! Ronnie and I are leaving for 2 weeks in
Dubai, United Arab Emirates this Monday the 20th.
The wonderfully talented Flower Clown has been
hired to work for 9 days at a HUGE summer
festival. Then we will kick around Bangkok for a
few more days before heading home on Sept. 6. We
are so honored and excited that Flower was chosen
to perform during the final week of this festival.
We hope it leads to bigger and better things in
the future. We will be posting stories and photos
on www.myspace.com/flowerclown
Peace and Love~
