Artist Information
I have been working as a
professional illustrator since 1982.
At that time I started a fantastic job with "Custom
Card",
a caricature art studio, locatedin
the heart of downtown
Cleveland, Ohio.
Custom Card offered me the unique opportunity
to draw eight hours a day, five days a week, which has helped
me to develop my skills as an artist. I drew everything from
simple cartoons to caricatures to seriously involved
illustrations for a numerous amount of clients.
From the late eighties to the early nineties I started to take
computer graphic courses at some of the local college's
and by 1993 I had purchased my first Macintosh computer.
Most all of my digital graphics are done with Apple
computers and Adobe software. Except my 3D imagery which
is done with Specular Logomotion, a limited version of Infini-D.
I find it extremely easy to use and I can create just about
anything
I can think of with the help of Adobe Photoshop. I have also
dabbled in animation, mainly animated gifs and rotating logos.

Ron is a member of the National
Cartoonists Society, and has drawn caricatures at 100
parties and corporate events each year since 1993, when
he took his caricature quick-sketch talents into
full-time freelance after 10 years as an advertising art
director and illustrator; he has drawn over 5,000 people
each year since then. He also writes and draws Larger
Than Life, a weekly comic strip self-syndicated
across the country, teaches cartooning part-time,
accepts freelance advertising cartoon illustration
commissions for clients such as The Cleveland Indians
and national publishers and advertisers. He graduated
from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 1982.

makes everyone feel comfortable. I have worked in air
shows, shopping malls, festivals, fairs and parties. I
have also worked for Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson, the
Cleveland Indians and the Cleveland Cavaliers. My life
size stand ups of Drew Carey and Mimi were featured on
TV during the 2001-2002 Cleveland Cavaliers basketball
games. My work has been promoted in a TV commercial in
2003.
